WHAT ARE LASER CAPS MADE OF? GET TO KNOW BRITISH MILLERAIN!

Posted by on

We've been counting on British Millerain fabrics for years to produce a big part of our products; hats, some garments and accessories. For those of you who don't know what we're talking about, we at Laser like to search for the best quality and comfort materials. That's why when we found British Millerain, we knew that it would be the beginning of a great friendship.

In an attempt to bring our relationship with our suppliers closer to you, we decided to speak with Adam, the new generation behind this English business with years of experience and tradition.

Can you tell us a bit about the story at British Millerain?

British Millerain textiles are crafted in England, using skills handed down through six generations of the Miller Family and over a century of innovation.
Established in 1880, we pioneered the development of waxed cotton. Through the 1900s, demand for Millerain waxed cotton grew globally, as industry-leading brands recognised the unique aesthetic appeal and weather-resistant properties of our fabrics.

How are your production methods?

With more than a century of investment, we continue to innovate and develop novel textiles to meet the ever-changing demands of the apparel industry. Our collection includes machine washable wax and novel dry wax alternatives. In addition we manufacture a variety of non-waxed cottons with excellent weather-proof properties.
Sustainability is at the forefront of what we do. We source cotton registered with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and our manufacturing processes have been customised to minimise water and energy use.

What other products are produced with British Millerain?

Shoes, Bags, Hats, Outerwear, Costumes for major Hollywood movies as well as medical and workwear clothing. We work with the biggest brands globally from high street to high end designer brands.

How did you get to know Laser?

We were contacted by Justo to discuss fabrics, to talk about how we create our water repellent finishes and how we could work together. I have been personally to visit your store in Barcelona. We try our best as a mill to help support creativity.
